APPROVAL OF MINUTES
July 17, 2018 Minutes Approved


PARISH MANAGER"S REPORT - Tom Doyle
School is back in session.
Memorial book and Ministry Fair book are being printed
Balloons, Bouncy castles and food ordered last minute details being taken care of.
New staff moved into their roles and all is going well.
Full time maintenance person, with computer skills, still needed.


FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT - Gustavo Bustamante
Review of Finance report and changes suggested for print in bulletin
REPORTS


Jose Concheiro - Approval of Community of Nurses’ request for permission to have a
banner promoting Troubleshooting Diabetes Class at the
Ministry Fair . Classes will be held October 4,11,25 from 1-2pm


Anthony Basilicato - attended Catholic Moms Sharing - Powerful meeting - Discussion
regarding need for childcare
for their meetings and all ministries, eventually.
There was a discussion regarding having a nursery during mass or specific events.
Suggestion made for data gathering in the future.


OLD BUSINESS
Janet Swilley - Music Ministry Search Committee completed auditions. An offer has
been made to one of the candidates for the position and Fr Dermot is awaiting an
answer.
Julio Alvarez - Ministry scheduling program moving forward
Nick Turco - Two meetings,have been held for Outreach and Welcoming Ministries.
There is a working lists of about 25 people at this time.
Outreach - two possible volunteers interested in working on this committee. Data
surveys were suggested and Fr Dermot made it know that
data must highlight and supports the gospel.
Welcoming - Cover weekend masses; focus on making people feel welcome
Stewardship- Still working on putting this committee together.
Waiting for results of Ministry Fair to continue moving forward.


Attendees and table requests list for Ministry Fair was presented.


Nick will communicate expectations to each Ministry before the Ministry Fair.
Dates for Ministry Fair are September 8th, Saturday, after mass and September 9th,
Sunday after all masses


NEW BUSINESS
Parishioners “Welcoming” each other during mass was well received.

Sunday, September 9th - Commission the Council at 9:30 Mass
Council photo to be scheduled

Approved Reconstitution of Twinning Ministry with conditions that meet the new parish
vision.
HOPE Ministry to be determined. Jose’ working with Jill on Guidelines and contact
person.
Implementation of Goal#2 - Liturgy Promoting our Catholic Identity. Jack Metz
suggested Liturgy develop a committee that can come up with objectives and action
plan for Adult and Children’s Faith formation.


FATHER
336 attending school. Doubled up some classes. We have waiting list for 4th grade.
New families very happy with the school.
Fr Dermot and Fr Tim visit each grade once a month and greet the children in the
mornings.
Status on properties still pending.
Fr Tim will take care of Marriage Prep - Adjusting to who we are now.
Missionary coming for Annual Missionary Appeal from Religious Order from Tanzania -
Fr Thel
Abuse issue in the Catholic Church - we believe because of who Jesus is, not man.
Dallas Charter says Accusations end a ministry of a priest immediately.
