Hope is Contagious
Hope is Contagious provides support and help to cancer patients and their families; and provides the way to peace, God and happiness through the power of prayer.
On last November 7th, Hope Is Contagious had their 4th Annual Rosary Walk at Serenity Meadows. We had the privilege to have 2 members of the Color Corp present from Assembly 3418, S/K Shawn Ryan and S/K Pete Card. This is the 2nd year in a row that the Color Corp was present during this solemn event. We started at the Patriot Garden and continued throughout the grounds praying the Rosary while stopping by all of final resting places of our beloved parishioners from St. Stephen Catholic Church.
We have quite a few of our Brother Knights laid to rest there as well, S/K Tom Bailey, S/K John Joyce, Mike Goldonowicz, and John Columbia Sr. There is also one Columbiette there, Mary Ann Smith, who founded the Hope Is Contagious Ministry during her battle with Cancer, who is also the sister of PGK Ed Sleyzak, along with a few other core individuals who were able to get it started after she passed away. There is of course many Military buried there as well. The Color Corp would do a Sword Salute at our Brother Knights and Military burial sites.
