Holy Family Adoption Ministry
Mission Statement:
May the adopted children God has placed in our lives be surrounded by loving families of faith, hope and love
Goal:
Holy Family Adoption Ministry seeks to offer an opportunity for adoptive families to get together for Christ-filled fellowship. We hope to minister to the needs, questions, and concerns of these families with the foundations of our Catholic faith. The ministry will educate families supported by St. Stephen spiritual and sacramental programs.
The ministry will provide support in prayer and fellowship for parents and grandparents of adopted children. God has placed these children with them for His purpose, and we will grow stronger together as a community of faith, hope and love.
Fellowship:
We meet once a month at St. Stephen Church, a local park or venue for a "play day" and fellowship, so as to network as adoptive families. Holy Family Adoption Ministry will also provide resources for families considering adoption.
Purpose:
We have learned through our own experience of adoption, that Christian support through this process was what sustained us to continue to have patience to persevere; to trust that the Lord would place us with a child in His timing. Families who have adopted children need to continue building relationships with other adoptive families to bounce ideas and discuss openly issues that may arise in raising our adopted children.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord."
