I have arrived at this beautiful parish and I hope to continue my spiritual journey towards heaven with each of you. I come to you from the wonderful parish of St. Cecelia in Clearwater where I have been the Pastor for the previous 5 years (the new pastor there tell me, you are a great community).
I have been living in the States for the past 20 years (I became a citizen 7 years ago), 2 of those years were spent at Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, 10 in the Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska and then in Florida; 2 years at St. John Vianney on St. Pete Beach, and the previous 5 years at St. Cecelia in Clearwater before coming to St. Stephen as pastor in July of 2017.
I am originally from a small country in North Western Europe called Ireland (It may take a couple of weeks to adjust to my brogue as it has been several years since Msgr. Pat Irwin has been here). I am the youngest of nine children, but am the only one living in the States.
My hobbies: what I enjoy most is life (I truly believe children of God should always be filled with joy), but mixed in with that is music (1970’s and 80’s), movies, traveling when possible and just chilling out.
I arrived at St. Stephen’s on Friday, and have been settling in since then.
I am truly excited about ministering here in St. Stephen and walking my faith journey with you and your family over the next number of years. I look forward to meeting you personally, please don’t hesitate to stop me and say hello when you see me around, but be forewarned, I am not great at remembering names, so I may have to ask you a few (dozen) times.
God’s blessings upon you, your families and all your loved ones wherever they may be.
